About Us

We are committed to offering outstanding customer service and attention to detail in every home that we build. Both the internal and external finishes are of excellent quality and designs are created to suit various budgets and contemporary living requirements. Quality starts from design to completion. We allocate a Project Co-ordinator and Building Supervisor to each home to ensure that the building process runs smoothly.

Oakford Homes offers a variety of house designs from spacious traditional 3 and 4 bedroom family homes to villa and courtyard homes suited for smaller blocks. Whether you are looking for a new home, investment property or retirement property we can find the right design to suit your living requirements. We also offer house and land packages and assist in subdivision of blocks.

Our History

Oakford Homes was established in South Australia in 1980 by the Craven Group of Companies. Managing Director Phillip Craven's reputation for uncompromising excellence in every project quickly established Oakford Homes as a leader in the building industry in SA. Since its inception Oakford Homes has built over 2000 quality homes.

Oakford Homes builds approximately 200 homes a year with the aim to ensure that an outstanding level of individual customer satisfaction and attention to detail is achieved. The company continues to expand its homes to incorporate the latest design and technology features including computer rooms, home theatres and security systems as well as energy efficient heating and cooling systems. "We only build homes we would like to live in ourselves," explains Phillip Craven, founder and Managing Director of Oakford Homes.

Oakford Homes developed beautiful Valima Retirement Estate in Hackney, gracious Victoria Grove Retirement Estate in Eastwood, Camden Park Retirement Estate and the 2008 Rotary Club of Hindmarsh Island Charity Club Home.

> Where do we build?
We build in the metropolitan area and this build area extends to approximately within 100 kilometres of the CBD. Conditions apply to build in suburbs further north than Gawler, please contact office. Travel fees will apply for homes built outside the metropolitan area.

> How long does the building process take?
The average build time from the time of signing contract to site is 6 months pre-construction and 5 months construction from site to handover. Please note that these times will vary for block developments.

> How long does Council approval take?
This will always depend on the Council but approximately 8-10 weeks

> How long is home covered under warranty?
We offer a 25 year structural guarantee on footings and structural members. Any appliances are covered as per manufacturers warranty. All other components of home are covered under a 5 year statutory guarantee.
